BIOMAX APPLICATIONS GUIDE

Where could BioMax wall cladding be used?

The demands on a wall change from room to room. Explore how cleaning, moisture, wear and installation details influence the choice of a hygienic wall system.

START WITH THE USE OF THE ROOM

Suitability is more than a product label.

BioMax combines a wipe-clean PVC wall finish with an antimicrobial characteristic of the material’s surface. Whether it suits a particular room also depends on the cleaning regime, the condition of the underlying wall, the amount of contact the surface receives and how the finished installation is detailed.

Use the questions below to shape a specification. Confirm project requirements and current product documentation before selecting sheets and components. Antimicrobial surface performance does not replace cleaning or other site hygiene procedures.

COMPARE THE SETTINGS

What should each space make you consider?

01 CARE SETTINGS

Healthcare and care rooms

Think about repeated cleaning, contact around beds or equipment, and the details at doors, corners and service penetrations.

Ask: Which surfaces receive the most contact, and how will every edge be finished?
02 FOOD SETTINGS

Kitchens and food production

Review the cleaning method, likely splashes, moisture exposure and proximity to equipment before planning sheet joins and wall-to-floor details.

Ask: How will the fitted wall be cleaned around fixtures and junctions?
03 WORKING AREAS

Laboratories and clean rooms

Consider the room’s own specification, the chemicals used for cleaning and the location of benches, services and sensitive junctions.

Ask: What material, cleaning and detailing requirements does this room specify?
04 ANIMAL CARE

Veterinary environments

Map washing routines and potential knocks in consultation, treatment and animal holding areas. Pay attention to corners and lower wall sections.

Ask: Where will moisture and frequent contact put the most demand on the finish?

ACROSS EVERY APPLICATION

The same core decisions keep returning.

A useful specification should describe the full wall assembly and the way it will be maintained, not just name the sheet.

01

What is the condition of the existing substrate?

02

Which sheet length best fits the wall and access route?

03

Where will joins, corners and exposed edges fall?

04

Which cleaning products and routine will be used?

05

What project-specific evidence or approvals are required?
